Meet The Team

Chris Ilett

Chris caught the music bug when he was 10, starting off on the piano and picked up the guitar aged 12, which became his instrument of choice.  From there, he went through the usual routine of playing in bands and practicing/writing music during every spare minute. During his GCSE music days, he found a respect for Leonard Bernstein’s composition skills in West Side Story – in particular a fascination with time signature and key changes, which would lay a foundation in some of Chris’ future signature compositions.

During a Leicestershire Arts recording session for his band (a compilation CD also featuring Robin!), Chris scored his first studio experience, and returned for work experience when he was 16. He followed up with a sound engineering course, and years later would pick up the Sound Engineer mantle professionally – becoming resident engineer at several venues in Leicester, and a year later found himself touring the UK and Europe on the Arena circuit.

Chris soon found his main love in this profession was in mixing and producing records, so concentrated on developing his skills through paid work whilst setting up a web design business to keep a roof over his head.

Chris has recently relocated to London and heads up the EdgeTracks team.

Robin Grace

Robin has worked as a freelance musician, composing to brief and generating ideas for new media, internet games, websites, films, theatre, dance performances, workshops, TV and numerous bands and ensembles.

As a musician of eclectic taste, his portfolio of work is vast and ranges from creating musical installations, composing to brief/context and performing as a session musician. For the past 15 years Robin has performed nationwide in a number of bands playing a variety of music in many different styles, he has also scored for small and large ensemble performances.

He continues to be active and interested in the arts / in new technology and its applications.

Jon Dix

Jon graduated to composing and producing music for TV, games and the web when he realised faffing around with guitar pedals wasn’t quite enough to quench his thirst for making weird and wonderful sounds. His recent portfolio includes creating music – from electronic soundscapes, to heavy rock ,to retro funk – for high profile video games, festivals, online multimedia, and corporate videos.
When Jon isn’t composing or mangling guitars on stage with his band, he still manages to find time to produce, mix and remix the likes of Beck Goldsmith, Actionforce, Love Ends Disaster! and Minnaars.

He’s also recently purchased a new executive chair for his home studio, which he’s very smug about.
